The London Bikeathon is organised by Children with Leukaemia. The Bikeathon aims to have people cycling across London, there is more than one route and three skill levels. The skill levels range from beginner (13miles), intermediate (26 miles) and advanced cyclists (52 miles). The routes are either scenic (cycling from and through one park to the next) or city (cycling on the streets of London). Its takes place on the 13^th of July.

 This bike ride is not affiliated with religion or culture but is very well organised and a great day of fun. Last year there were more than 4000 cyclists completely taking over London and cycling in every direction depending on their set route. The city route involves cycling past famous London landmarks such as Westminster, the London Eye, St. Pauls and the millennium dome to name a few. What was disappointing about last year’s Bikeathon, was that out of the 4000 entrants, there were only 4 visible Sikhs participating. We need more people doing this to represent Sikhi!!

SACA Charity Bike Ride (Birmingham to london)
This year the charity is celebrating its 19th year. Yes it is hard to believe that all those years ago group of 12 youth got together for an act of self-less service for children.

Every July the ride starts from Birmingham. It then proceeds through Coventry, Daventry and then through Bedfordshire before reaching a centennial milestone in Luton (If you take the 2 day option). After an overnight stay, the ride continues in the morning and passes through St Albans, Radlett, Elstree, Harrow and then reaches its final destination in London. All the riders are escorted into the town centre surrounded by a sense of appreciation from the local community and support services.
